Contract and delivery

This page sets out the framework of a delivery: who the contracting party is, how a requirement becomes a quotation, what export and end use call for, and how warranty and repair are handled.

Who the contract is concluded with

The contract is concluded with the manufacturer APCO Aviation in Israel. It supplies the system and carries technical responsibility. APCO Defense Europe is the official representative for Europe: requirement, quotation, documentation, delivery and support run through us.

APCO Defense Europe issues no general terms and conditions of its own. What applies are the terms attached to the manufacturer's quotation. We put them before you together with the quotation so that they can be examined before an order is placed.

From requirement to quotation

Recovery and protection systems are not bought off a catalogue. It starts with the requirement: platform, payload, deployment envelope and operating environment. From that follows the technical assessment, and only then a quotation.

No order can be placed through this website, and it states no prices. Only the written quotation is binding. The technical figures on the product and knowledge pages reflect the state of the manufacturer's documentation; for a particular project, what counts is the quotation and the documentation delivered with the system.

Export, import and end use

A delivery from Israel into Europe is both an export and an import operation. Whether and on what terms a system may be supplied is not decided by the sales contract but by the classification of the item, the end use, the country of destination and the licence of the competent authority. Re-export from Europe to a further country is a separate operation with its own examination.

We prepare the documents for this, request the evidence from the works and accompany the procedure. Classification, licensing and examination rest with the competent authorities and with the manufacturer. This is set out in full under export control and compliance.

Warranty and repair

Warranty follows the contract with the manufacturer and the law applying to it. Which periods and conditions apply in a given case is stated in the quotation; without an express undertaking by the manufacturer there is no guarantee beyond that.

Repair, inspection and upgrades are carried out at the manufacturer. We arrange and accompany them and remain your point of contact throughout.

Certificates and evidence

Certificates, qualification evidence and test documentation are issued at the works in Israel and held there. APCO Defense Europe does not build the systems and issues no approvals of its own. We provide the evidence within the project, map it to your tender requirements and request any missing document from the works.

Where a tender requires a contracting party in your own country, raise it with us. Whether a project can be arranged that way we examine case by case, and we tell you the outcome before you build your submission on it.
